The Rotary Club of Greenmeadows has greatly contributed to the region of Hawke’s Bay. From sponsoring the National Art Exhibition and donating over $300,000 to the community, to sponsoring The Life Education Trust. Rotary Pathway

The Rotary pathway started construction in 2002 and has been a continuing project as the pathway is constantly growing. The pathway extends from Bay View and lines all Marine Parade and makes it way to Awatoto, past some of Napier’s most Iconic buildings and landscapes. The pathway which is shared by pedestrians, cyclists and kids was funded largely by the five Rotary clubs of Hawke’s Bay, including Greenmeadows. The Rotary clubs of Hawke’s Bay are constantly raising awareness and funds to maintain and continue to make more pathways for the benefit of the community. Naming certain areas, drinking fountains and seating can all be named after your family and or business which will continue to fund the maintenance of the pathways.

National Art Exhibition

Commonly referred to as Art-X, The National Art Exhibition gives members of the public an opportunity to not only view some of the best art in New Zealand, but also an opportunity to purchase these wonderful paintings. The Rotary Club of Greenmeadows has been organising and hosting this event for more than 30 years. Proceeds from the exhibition are donated to fund community projects. In the last 10 years more than $350,000 has been donated to the Hawke’s Bay community.

Greenmeadows Rotary and EIT Trades Awards

In 1978 The Apprenticeship Awards Ceremony was formed. This annual event was started by the second president of the Greenmeadows Rotary Club, Jim Callinicos. Jim saw the need to recognise and reward the achievements of trades students emerging from EIT. Ever since 1978, The Greenmeadows Rotary club continues to support and sponsor these awards.

Life Education Trust

Greenmeadows Rotary has recently become a main sponsor of the Life Education Trust. The Life Education Trust is an organisation that travels to hundreds of schools around New Zealand and educates children about healthy eating choices, friendships and educated children about their body. Rotary Clubs are very proud of sponsoring this organisation as it is important to educate children as they are the future of New Zealand.
